Responsibilities

• Surface preparation: Clean, sand, and repair surfaces by filling holes and cracks to ensure proper paint adhesion. Remove old finishes with scrapers or chemicals.
• Color and finish selection: Mix and match paints, stains, and other finishes to achieve the exact color and texture specified by the client or job order.
• Application: Apply finishes evenly and smoothly using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Protection: Mask and cover non-painted surfaces like floors, trim, and fixtures with drop cloths or other protective coverings.
• Quality assurance: Inspect finished work to ensure quality and consistency, making necessary touch-ups or adjustments.
• Equipment maintenance: Clean and maintain all painting tools, spray guns, and other equipment.
• Safety: Use safety equipment, ensure proper ventilation, and adhere to all safety regulations.
• Client communication: Meet with clients to discuss their needs and confirm project details.
• Project management: Maintain an organized workspace, manage time efficiently to meet deadlines, and keep track of supplies. 

Job Requirements:

• Ability to prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, and priming.
• Knowledge of different types of finishes, such as paints, stains, varnishes, and lacquers.
• Proficiency in mixing and matching colors.
• Skill in applying finishes with various tools, including brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to use safety equipment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various positions.
