Role Overview

We’re looking for a Finance Lead to own the Foundation’s financial operations end-to-end.

This is a hands-on owner role, responsible for ensuring funds (fiat and crypto) are properly managed, tracked, and reported in a transparent and disciplined manner.

The role may also support investor and stakeholder reporting where relevant.

You will work closely with Ops, Legal, and external partners in a fully remote, async environment.

What You’ll Do

Financial Operations

• Own accounting, bookkeeping, and monthly close processes
• Manage cash flow across fiat bank accounts and crypto wallets
• Maintain strong spending controls and approval workflows
• Ensure audit-ready financial records and documentation

Budgeting & Planning

• Prepare and track annual and quarterly budgets
• Monitor budget vs. actuals and proactively flag risks
• Improve financial visibility for leadership

Reporting

• Produce regular financial reports for leadership and board
• Support transparency initiatives when appropriate
• Help translate financial data into clear operational insights

Compliance & External Coordination

• Coordinate with legal, tax advisors, and external accountants
• Support audits and regulatory filings
• Manage ongoing banking relationships and requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years in finance, accounting, or financial operations
• Strong experience in budgeting, controls, and financial reporting
• Hands-on experience with Swiss banks or European banking systems (fiat operations, KYC, payments, bank coordination)
• Comfortable managing both fiat and crypto treasury operations
• Highly detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have

• Experience in Web3, crypto, foundations, or DAOs
• Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions
• Prior work in remote-first or async teams
• Exposure to investor relations or stakeholder reporting is a plus
