Position: Manager – Reinsurance Accounting (Assumed & Ceded)

Arbeit Group is currently supporting one of our clients in hiring a Manager – Reinsurance Accounting to manage end‑to‑end reinsurance operations, financial reporting, and stakeholder coordination in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review end‑to‑end reinsurance accounting processes (premium, claims, and risk transactions)
• Oversee financial booking & reconciliation (premium, claims, recoveries, brokerage)
• Perform and validate reinsurance calculations (reinstatement premiums, commissions, adjustments)
• Handle cash allocation, receivables, and outstanding balances
• Liaise with brokers, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
• Support reporting, audit, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Drive process improvements, controls, and automation initiatives
• Maintain strong governance, reporting standards, and data accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting (CPA/CA is a plus)
• Proven experience in Reinsurance Accounting (Assumed & Ceded)
• Strong understanding of the insurance/reinsurance business
• Solid knowledge of GAAP / IFRS accounting standards
• Experience in financial reconciliation, reporting, and controls
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, reporting)
• Ability to manage stakeholders and work independently
