We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Xero Proficiency Specialist with a strong background in Australian bookkeeping practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting processes while ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations.


In this role, you will:

  • Handling daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliation.
  • Busier during BAS time, with approximately 30–40 hours during the first week following the end of the quarter.
  • Reviewing financial reports and analyzing balance sheets to identify adjustments and resolve discrepancies.
  • Clearing accounts and reconciling GST collected against POS, eCommerce, and payment service reports.
  • Content development, conceptualizing, researching, and creating high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for various platforms.


We’re Looking for Someone Who Has:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle routine and ad-hoc tasks within allocated timeframes.
  • Ability to manage multiple financial tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Adaptability to varying workloads, particularly during BAS periods and post-quarter ends.
  • High attention to detail with accurate data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies or insights.
  • Familiarity with Australian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with clients and team members.


Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Xero bookkeeping software.

Experience handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Experience performing bank reconciliations and reviewing financial reports.

Knowledge of GST reconciliation and reporting processes.


Non-Negotiables:

Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Good planning and organizational skills.

Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
