JAKEBRAKE LOGISTICS STARTED IN 2017 IN OMAHA, NEBRASKA. SINCE THAT TIME, WE’VE BECOME A WELL-KNOWN AND WELL-RESPECTED FREIGHT BROKERAGE.
We’ve grown by treating both shippers and carriers with respect and a commitment to excellence in customer service combined with an uncanny ability to follow through and help with the most time-sensitive and difficult loads or “just” the movement of the day-to-day loads in an ever-changing, complex, and demanding world.
As an intermediary between our carriers and shippers, we work diligently and smartly with carriers throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico to execute freight deliveries across various equipment types (flatbeds, step decks, removable goose necks, power-only, drop-trailers, and dry vans) for our shippers.
We work with both carriers (from small, owner-operated businesses to large, asset-based companies) and shippers (from locally owned and operated businesses to major Fortune 500 companies and governmental entities) to get their products shipped around the US, Mexico, and Canada in a cost-efficient and cost-effective manner. We move their products by matching a carrier with the correct, minimal equipment that meets the needs of the shipper and their cargo.
We handle everything from agreeing on competitive rates that provide a win for our carriers AND shippers, scheduling pick-up and delivery appointments and verifying addresses and phones numbers, executing rate and load confirmation documents, and all invoicing and billing.
For both carriers and shippers alike, we want everyone to know that we at Jakebrake Logistics hate broken loads and work exceptionally hard and smart to avoid them and hand massage them, if they do happen, and routinely help clean up our shippers’ customer databases to further help them avoid broken loads.

We work with carriers of all makes and models, but we specialize in utilizing highly competent and dedicated US military veteran carriers in our carrier mix. Our CEO brought the core values he lived by in the US Air Force to Jakebrake Logistics and, as such, we strive to have integrity first, put our carriers and shippers ahead of ourselves, and to have excellence in everything that we do. We have deep problem-solving expertise and experience and our CEO has made it a big part of his leadership mandate to instill his well-known problem-avoidance skills into our daily routines through a rigorous training program and development of systematic processes that govern how we handle each and every load.
We’ve slashed our broken loads to basically only those completely out of our control like those that are carrier-equipment breakdown related as a result of the problem-avoidance, systematic processes we follow with each and every load. We also pride ourselves on having a bedrock of leadership skills that permeate our teams.
